About MindFlash
A two-person team building the retention layer for the NotebookLM workflow.
Our story
MindFlash started as a fix for our own problem. We were NotebookLM users — generating flashcards from PDFs, Google Docs, YouTube transcripts, websites. The cards were great. The problem was retention: we saw the cards once, and forgot them by the next study session.
We tried Anki, Quizlet, RemNote. Each had a piece of what we wanted — FSRS, AI tutor, CSV import, board-exam workflow — but none had all four. So we built MindFlash: the second app for the NotebookLM workflow.
What we believe
Privacy is architecture
There is no server to collect from. The on-device AI tutor is the only AI tutor that does not watch the student back. It's not just a policy, it's how the app is built.
Complement, not compete
NotebookLM is the best creation engine. We are the retention layer. The two apps are stronger together, connected by a simple CSV export workflow.
No fabricated statistics
We cite real studies. We do not invent numbers. If a study exists, we attribute it; if not, we do not assert it as fact in our marketing.
No subscription
MindFlash is free, with no in-app purchases or paywalls. The product is built to be maximally valuable to students without a recurring subscription.
